11-21-09 Teacher DiscomfortYesterday, the music teacher sent Eileen back early with a student. The student explained to me that Eileen's 'arms were shaking'. I was confused by this, because Eileen 'shakes her arms' a lot- in a lot of different ways- none of which are really concerning.11-21-09 Teacher Discomfort
The first is 'the row-boat'. This is a motion she makes when she's excited (in other words, nearly always), and it looks, well, like rowing a boat. She brings her arms up with her elbows bent and moves her shoulders in a circle. (This is usually accompanied by a very happy "Yee yee yee" sound).

11-19-09 Drastic ImprovementsI've been volunteering in the CDS room at our elementary school for about a quarter now, as a way to fulfill the rules of our GED program (10 hours a week of work).11-19-09 Drastic Improvements
For the largest portion of the day, I work with a girl with Cerebral Paulsey. Physically, she is pretty advanced (for a child with Cerebral Paulsey), although she does have detached retinas which impair her vision a little. However, she can walk, make controlled noises, and has good control of her hands. Cognitively, she is unfathomable. We have no way of knowing what her intelligence and learning levels are.
